Bernard Madoff ran what may have been the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time. His scam cost investors an estimated $65 billion. He pled guilty in March to 11 felony counts and is currently behind bars in Manhattan while he awaits sentencing. He faces up to 150 years in prison. The investigation into possible accomplices, however, continues. Madoff has insisted he worked alone.
