"I was very sick in the beginning," Cross told Diane Sawyer on "Good Morning America."

"I don't wish that on anyone. I have enormous respect now for every pregnant woman I've ever seen," she said.

Cross, who is expecting in April, said she would remain on the show throughout the pregnancy.

As of now, her pregnancy will be hers -- and not Bree's.

"I thought [the writers were] going to write it in, but [the show is] so thick with the plot this year. … I'm going to be hiding behind bowls and flowers," the actress said.

Cross jokingly told cameramen that she would kill them if they shot her below the waist and from behind while she was pregnant.

So far, Cross said she had experienced no food cravings.

"My breasts seem to have exploded," she said.

Cross married stockbroker Tom Mahoney in June 2006.

On the show, her character, Bree, recently got engaged -- a move that her friends doubt is a good one.

Cross, however, believes Bree's fiancé will be redeemed in the end.

"He's a good guy. You watch," Cross said. "These brilliant writers. How could they possibly put me with someone who's bad again?"
