Is Liquid Or 'Fast-Melt' Benadryl Better Than Pills?

Question: Is liquid or 'fast-melt' Benadryl better than pills?

Andrew Liu, M.D., National Jewish Medical and Research Ctr.

Answer: A liquid or 'fast-melt' Benadryl can be better than pills especially if someone's having a reaction in their mouth or having some gastrointestinal or stomach upset from an allergic reaction just simply because it's liquid form and it melts in the mouth. And some of that antihistamine effect can help with any mouth symptoms. But if you have only pills, pills are also fine. Pills are capsules, take it, it's fine.
