Are There Modifications To My Workplace That Might Help Me With Pain At Work?

Question: Are There Modifications To My Workplace That Might Help Me Deal With My Painful Condition At Work?

Dr. J.C. Gerancher answers the question: 'How Do I Ease Pain At Work?'

Answer: Some larger companies employ specialists that can look at your office and adjust the ergonomics of your workplace. Simple things like a headset telephone versus a handheld phone, a different computer screen, or a different chair, or height of your keyboard can help you deal with chronic pain in the workplace. Your employer may allow your physical therapist or another consultant to come into your workplace and give your employer or you advice about how to change things.
