Is It Normal to Sometimes Feel Pain or Sensations in My Breast Even Though I Had It Removed?

Question: Is it normal to sometimes feel pain or sensations in my breast even though I have had it removed?

Pam Kedziera, R.N., Fox Chase Cancer Center

Answer: Many women report that they can actually still feel their breasts years later. It's kind of like people who have limbs removed in a trauma, an accident, and they tell you that they can still feel their arm. Many women do have a sensation that the breast is still there.
