Can Pain Be Treated Even Though My Doctor Has Not Found A Cause?

Question: Can My Pain Be Treated Even Though My Doctor Has Not Found A Cause?

Dr. Tarun Jolly answers the question: 'Can Pain Without A Cause Be Treated?'

Answer: Pain management is really quite a unique profession, a unique field. Very often, your doctor may not find the cause of your pain. But for us, it's more important to actually get you out of your pain. As a result, very often, therapies may be advocated and presented to you that are aimed at covering up your pain or distracting your mind from your pain without actually isolating the cause. Now, in the event that you require more serious evaluation, that will also be suggested or decided on by your pain physician.
