Daryl Hannah may be known for roles in more than 40 Hollywood films, but these days she's also on the radar for her efforts as an environmental activist. The "Splash" star was arrested June 23, 2009 by West Virginia State Police for participating in a mountaintop removal mining protest in Naoma, W. Va. The actress, who is also a vegetarian, has been long-involved in green causes. The actress even started her own green culture and lifestyle video blog, dhlovelife. She also hosted the seven-part documentary series "Sierra Club Chronicles," that highlighted green efforts of individuals across the country. She was also arrested in 2006 for protesting the demolition of an urban garden in Los Angeles. (Jeff Gentner/AP Photo )
