Sept. 14, 2008— -- Don Haskins, 78 -- Hall of Fame basketball coach. Took Texas Western to the first major sports title the school has ever won-- made history by starting five black players during the '66 NCAA championship.

Anita Page, 98 -- One of a handful of silent film actors to live into the 21st century-- the silent film actress went on to co-star in one of the first sound musicals.

David Foster Wallace, 46 -- Best known for his '96 novel Infinite Jest, he also published short stories in GQ, Harper's and the New Yorker.

THIS WEEK, THE PENTAGON RELEASED THE NAMES OF 7 SOLDIERS AND MARINES KILLED IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN.
